Do you remember sitting in chemistry classes as a kid and thinking “I will never use any of this stuff, why do I need to learn it?”
Well it seems some very smart scientists were listening during those ‘useless’ chemistry classes, and it’s a good thing too as they recently attempted to revolutionize a much loved beverage; beer!
Australian scientists have created an electrolyte-charged beer that hydrates three times more than regular beer and prevents symptoms related to hangovers.
Sounds like Sobur might have some valid competition in the Hangover Cure space, we say bring it on!
How Does The Miracle Beer Work?
Researchers at the Griffith Health Institute (GHI) have been experimenting with adding electrolytes to beer and reducing alcohol amounts. Associate Professor Ben Desbrow is claiming that adding these electrolytes can help fight the dehydration that comes with alcohol intake.
Nutrition researchers at GHI added electrolytes to two commercial beers — one regular strength and one light beer — before giving it to participants who had just exercised. Tests taken for the study showed that the light beer was three times more hydrating than normal beer.
They then took the study even further:
“We used several measures to monitor the participant’s fluid recovery to different beers,” Professor Ben Desbrow explained.
“Of the four different beers the subjects consumed, our augmented light beer was by far the most well retained by the body, meaning it was the most effective at re-hydrating the subjects.”
They had essentially created a hybrid mix of Gatorade and beer, allowing drinkers to keep sipping while avoiding dehydration that leads to next-day hangover symptoms.
The end result = easier Sunday mornings!
Have You Heard About The “Miracle Hangover Cure” that Wired magazine, New Scientist and the NY Post are all talking about?
It’s called Dihydromyricetin and it will change the way you consume alcohol for ever! Sobur, our hangover cure supplement, uses dihydromyricetin (read more about Dihydromyricetin here) as our key ingredient, along with several other essential ingredients that replenish & restore key vitamins and minerals the body looses when you drink alcohol.
